On Thursday, April 21, 2022, we commemorated the heroes and heroines of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, which broke out on April 19, 1943. At the European Center for Remembrance, Education, Culture (Stalag VIII A Memorial), Dr. Zachary Mazur gave a historical overview of the dramatic events in the Warsaw Ghetto and presented the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw.

In the evening, the Camillo Kino in Görlitz hosted a screening of the documentary film “The Unfinished Film. “Unfinished Film,” directed by Yael Hersonski, which tells the story of the crimes against the Jewish population in the Warsaw Ghetto and the propaganda of the Nazi regime. The film was preceded by a historical introduction, and the screening was followed by a discussion with the participation of Kinga Hartmann-Wóycicka (Memory, Education, Culture Foundation), Stefan Zinow (Sächsische Landeszentrale für politische Bildung) and Dr. Zachary Mazur.
