Where: at the memorial site Stalag VIII A, near the memorial for the victims of the camp. (Zgorzelec, ul. Kozlice 1)

15 years ago we started to touch the hearts of young Europeans, who have been coming to Zgorzelec and Görlitz every summer since then. We give these young people the chance to get to know each other, to exchange and to live together in an international group, while nurturing a common European memory.

Since 2008, more than 300 young people from 15 countries have taken part in the Worcation project. They have made new friendships, exchanged experiences and reflected on the common future of Europe.

This year will be no different. A group of 25 young people will spend two weeks in our Eurocity and will tackle topical issues such as war, democracy and human rights, trying to develop a new perspective on history, the present and the future.

At the end of this time spent together, the participants will share the experience they have gained and, together with all supporters, helpers, those interested and involved in this year’s Worcation 2022, commemorate the victims of the Stalag VIII A POW camp and World War II.
