Final rehearsals before Staatskapelle Dresden’s concert 2015
No concert without a rehearsal – a truism which also applies to a top international orchestra such as the Staatskapelle Dresden. And just as exciting as the actual concert performance is the chance to listen in and observe how an interpretation is created, like a colourful mosaic out of many tiny jewels. Schoolchildren can find this out for themselves by attending the general rehearsals to the orchestra’s symphony concerts. After a short introduction by our concert dramaturg, they will be able to peer over the shoulders of the musicians and their famous conductors, and there is often the opportunity to chat with some of the performers.
